Geraldine Lee

Singapore

Gerry Lee is a Creative Producer and Writer whose background as a Ngee Ann graduate in Mass Communication means her writing and editing skills bring a different and unique perspective to the table.

During her time as the Editor-in-Chief at HYPE, a local youth entertainment magazine, she interviewed international musicians, liaised with record labels, managed a team of writers and produced publications under deadlines. In addition, she has also freelanced as a writer and photographer for SPRING magazine, NP Friends, Spin or Bin Music, STOPGAP, to name a few.

These experiences serve her in good stead when she works on producing different kinds of projects, from short films to documentaries to full-length features, one of which is a co-production with fellow Chapman students from the main campus in Orange County, California.

The most notable of her recent works, Sepuloh, which she worked on as a producer, won the Best Student Drama (Foreign) category at the International Family Film Festival 2013. It is also an official selection this year at several film festivals, such as the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival and the European Union Film Festival, to name a few.

Since discovering her love for storytelling through the art of filmmaking, she pursues her passion by actively seeking projects and developing them for production. To that effect, she interned this summer in San Francisco, California at the Bay Area Video Coalition. She produced and edited a series of behind-the-scenes interviews with a group of documentary filmmakers who had been awarded the MediaMaker Fellowship.

She is currently writing several scripts, developing documentary-related projects as well as starting up new enterprises, and believes that when she looks back at her works many decades later, she will have left her mark on this world.
