Gerald Chan

Gerald Chan is Vice President of Business Development at SIFE BCIT. He is a 2nd year Marketing Management student concentrating in Communications and has a Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree from the University of British Columbia. Upon graduation from university, Gerald workedas the Program Lead and VIP Host for the U.S. Olympic Committee during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games. His specialty lies in exercise physiology, health sciences, integrated marketing communications and project management. Gerald works closely with the president of SIFE to develop sustainable business relationships within the City of Vancouver and helps generate sponsorship opportunities for the organization. Last year, he was one of the Project Managers for Campbell’s Let’s Can Hunger Challenge, which helped create international awareness about hunger issues in Canada. The project raised over 2,000 pounds of food benefiting the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and was awarded 2nd place for Campbell’s National Hunger Awareness Award during the national competition in Toronto. Aside from academic studies, Gerald enjoys photography, playing Tennis and is an avid fanof Formula 1 racing. Gerald believes in SIFE’s mission to bring together the top leaders oftoday and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. Gerald looks forward to see all the amazing work SIFE will bring to BCIT and our community this year.
