Gerard F. Corbett is a distinguished communications strategist, educator, and industry thought leader with a career spanning more than five decades. Gerard’s career began at NASA's Ames Research Center, where he contributed to the early development of the U.S. Space Shuttle program.With a dual foundation in public relations and electronics engineering, he transitioned from technical roles to executive leadership in corporate communications. His career includes leadership positions at industry giants such as Gould Inc., ASARCO Incorporated, Loral Corporation, and Hitachi America, Ltd. At Hitachi, Gerard led initiatives that strengthened the company's market presence and brand equity through innovative strategies.

Gerard also served as Chair and CEO of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), where he championed professional development, ethical practice, and diversity within the communications industry.Under his leadership, PRSA advanced initiatives that elevated the profession's standards and expanded its influence globally.

Gerard is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of communications leaders.He has taught courses in public relations and brand management at institutions such as UC Berkeley Extension and San Jose State University. In addition to his professional achievements, Gerard is a 45-year senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and currently serves on its Honors and Awards Committee.
