As an educator, I strive to develop each student's intellectual growth as they mature into contributing members of society. Every human is unique and every human deserves the opportunity to learn in the environment that fits them best. My future students will feel that their questions, comments, and individual experiences are not only respected, but encouraged in my classroom.

I believe humans are naturally curious and eager to learn, children especially. As an educator, it is my passion to engage each learner enough that their own curiosity generates thoughtful questions. Using creative teaching strategies, I will engage the individual curiosity of each student and the deepest and most profound learning will take place.

I believe it is a teachers job to plan student-centered activities, inquiry-based lessons, and thought provoking questions to achieve the deepest learning. I act as a facilitator to student learning, encouraging questions and problem solving skills. Cooperative learning strategies and relevant technology use are main components of my lessons.

I understand that all students have different experiences. The diversity of each student will be embraced in my classroom. All students are accepted and encouraged to deepen their learning by sharing their experiences. Through patience, gratitude, and respect, I will provide the environment my students deserve to grow and develop.
