I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and hold a Master’s Degree (M.S.) in Professional Mental Health Counseling as well as a Bachelors of Science degree in Child and Family Development. I am also a state certified Domestic Violence counselor and Assertive Communication Instructor. As a life-long learner, I continue to pursue advanced training as well as courses in higher education.

My professional work experience includes eleven years providing assistance to adults and adolescents in the following areas; Co-Dependency, Trauma, Grief & Loss, Drugs and Alcohol, Domestic Violence, Eating Disorders, Self- Harming Behavior, Body Image, Women’s Issues, Relationships, ADD/ADHD, Communication, Family and Parenting, Court referred clients (Victims and Offenders) Custody, Theft, Hoarding, Clutter, Employment and Education.

In addition, my personal experience as a parent, spouse, employee, student and dealing with my own ups and downs enhances my effectiveness as a therapist. I am able to understand the dynamics of struggling with stress and balancing life and work. Clients comment that I (the therapist) “get it” and understand the “real world”.

I am a strong believer in self-care and "me time". In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, friends and animals. I love being outdoors walking, bike riding, rafting, camping, hiking, horse riding, ATV-ing, barbeque-ing, and sitting around campfires. I also spend my time reading, beading jewelry, and creating multi-media art.
