With over 23 years of global enterprise experience, Gerlin Hendry is a purpose-driven Strategic IT Leader recognized for stabilizing complex technology environments and transforming them into future-ready platforms for scale, innovation, and trust. His leadership spans digital transformation, IT governance, quality systems, and large-scale technology operations across highly regulated and mission-critical environments.
Gerlin has held progressive leadership roles with global organizations including NXP Semiconductors, IBM, Huawei, and Tesco. Currently serving as Senior Regional Site IT Manager at NXP, he enables IT services for 4,500+ employees, leading country-level and global IT programs. His work has delivered measurable executive outcomes, including significant cost optimizations, major reductions in downtime and operational risk, and sustained improvements in service reliability.
Beyond operational excellence, Gerlin is known for architecting signature transformation initiatives. These include large-scale semiconductor R&D lab consolidations, enterprise automation platforms, and people-centric service excellence programs such as “IT Connect and Care,” which doubled service efficiency while strengthening trust between IT and business stakeholders. His approach combines disciplined execution with human-centered design, ensuring technology transformation is both effective and adopted.
A core strength of Gerlin’s leadership is his foundation in quality, governance, and risk management, backed by credentials as a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Expert, and ISO Lead Auditor. He has led global audit programs, supported complex M&A integrations, and built governance frameworks that balance compliance with agility and innovation.
Gerlin selectively applies intelligent automation and data-informed, AI-assisted approaches to enhance forecasting accuracy, service optimization, and decision support—adopting emerging technologies responsibly and only where they deliver clear, sustainable value.
He is also the Founder of Best People Foundation, where he applies enterprise-grade systems thinking to social challenges, designing scalable, technology-enabled education and skills initiatives for underserved communities from 2014.
