Michael Gethen

I build successful companies, working at the forefront of industry, market and technology knowledge in the evolving global Mobile Internet, Digital Media, 'Software as a Service' and Social Media environments.

I am also a classically trained professional portrait photographer, with a well-developed product design sensibility. My work gravitates from the conceptual and strategic to the execution and delivery, particularly in commercial deals.

What I do is build, run, commercialise, acquire and sell digital media businesses in either hands-on executive roles or as an advisor to Boards and entrepreneurs.

My experience includes building a mobile commerce & proximity marketing SaaS platform, major websites across the social network, automotive, fashion & beauty, food & lifestyle, communities & news and property sectors, as well as marketing & technology services businesses in the social technology, web development, search engine and agency space.

I’ve worked for media companies, technology companies, investment banks, from start ups to major listed companies.

My backyard is the Asia Pacific region, but I work on businesses around the world with interests, investments and clients in the US, UK. I am based in Singapore and Sydney.
