Graeme Fielder

I am a passionate supporter of tech entrepreneurship and science commercialisation in NZ.

I am pursuing my own start-up business, Lab Trader NZ Ltd. Lab Trader is a broker and reseller of used laboratory equipment in NZ. I hope this to be one of many to come.

I am currently a Business Development Manager at The New Zealand Institute of Plant & Food Research where I commercialise NZ science, support the R&D needs of the NZ food and beverage industries and develop relationships with global businesses.

Previously I have held positions as CEO of Spark, The University of Auckland's Entreprenuerhsip Challenge and CEO of Chiasma. Both non-profit organisations seek to develop an innovative and entrepeneurial culture at the University of Auckland with the larger purpose of fuelling NZ's economic prosperity. Through my involvement in these organisations for the past 6 years I have developed the majority of my business acumen.

My academic background consists of a PhD in Molecular Medicine, BTech (Hons.) in Biotechnology mixed with a Summer Institute of Entrepreneurship course at Stanford GSB.
