Gabrial Flannagan

Maiden, NC

I am Gabrial Flannagan. I am 17 years old and goes to Maiden High School. I live with my mother, sister, and brother. I am the oldest out of 3 children, My sister is 14 years old and goes to Maiden Middle. My brother is 5 years old and goes to Tuttle Elementary. My dad has never really been apart of my life but the end of my junior year we started talking. He lives in AZ and hasn’t seen me since I was a baby. I have 2 hamsters, both girls, I havent named them cause you can’t tell them apart. I am a multi talented person. Usually people are good at one thing but im good at more. I can play the piano. I have been playing the piano for about 5 years now, not really good but i can still play. I can also cook. Mom don’t let me cook that much cause she says i make a mess in the kitchen. (i don’t think i do but oh well) I love cooking cakes, pies, cookies, and any kind of desert that has chocolate in it! I LOVE riding horses. My uncle has a barn with about 13 horses, not all of them are ours, we rent out space to people, he owns about 4 of them. I ride choco. He is my favorite because he is old and experience meaning he don’t jump when something scares the other horses. My favorite thing to do is Air Force JROTC. I am a cadet Lieutenant Colonel and the cadet corps commander. My job/position is to take care of the unit and make sure everything gets done. I am the top student at Maiden High AFJROTC.I can just about do everything that is related to AFJROTC, like drill, spin rifles, do color guards, call commands and etc. I know a lot of people look up to be in AFJROTC so I have to show them the best example of a cadet.Went I get out of high school, I want to become a Emergency Physician in the Air Force. I am going to a 4 year university, hopefully Converse. While I am at the 4 year university, I am going to do Air Force ROTC and become a officer in the Air Force. Then I will attend Med. School while in the Air Force. After 20 years, I will retire from the Air Force and work in a hospital. But to be truthfully, I am scared to go to college and not go to high school anymore.I have won many awards in ROTC and a lot of leadership awards. My hopes for the future is to live near the lake and work as a Emergency Physician.
