Guilherme Foscolo is a Professor of Philosophy at the Federal University of Southern Bahia (UFSB), where he teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from UERJ (under the supervision of Ricardo José Corrêa Barbosa) and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from UFMG. From 2013 to 2014, he conducted research at Stanford University as a CAPES/FULBRIGHT Visiting Student Researcher under the supervision of Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht. He leads the Advanced Research Group in Aesthetics, Atmospheres, and Technologies (CNPq) and is a Research Fellow at The Global Centre for Advanced Studies (GCAS). He is also a member of the Red Latinoamericana de Investigaciones en Prácticas y Medios de la Imagen (Red ImagenLat), the Aesthetics Working Group of ANPOF, and the Brazilian Association of Aesthetics (ABRE). He co-edited the book Vida da Literatura with Flora Sussekind, published in 2022 by N-1, and has published articles and book chapters in the fields of Aesthetics, Philosophy of Art, Philosophy of Media, and Philosophy of History. Currently, he co-hosts the podcast Joystick Philosophy with Nicolau Spadoni (https://joystickphilosophy.cargo.site).
