Gail Goldspiel
Art. Writing. Creativity. These are my three favorite words. These are my three favorite passions.
Welcome! I am a museum educator and arts enthusiast living and working in NYC. I recently earned my Masters in Museum and Childhood Education from the Bank Street College of Education. I have worked as an educator at the Museum of Modern Art, the New York Public Library, the Queens Botanical Garden, and in NYC public and private schools. I infuse my teaching with creativity and art and seek to inspire students to express themselves, look closely, imagine, wonder and become curious life-long learners.
In addition to Museum Education, my background is in Creative Writing and English Literature. At Brandeis University, where I earned my Bachelors, I participated in poetry, fiction and memoir writing workshops as well as journalism and feature writing classes. I am familiar with modern and contemporary literature as well as British literature and poetry.
I am passionate about the arts and writing and inspiring children, teens, families, and adults to enjoy and appreciate the wonderful power of the arts and creativity. From Van Gogh to Pop Art; from the miles of books at the Strand bookstore to the miles of city street festivals, NYC is filled with all kinds of artistic opportunties and I am eager to seek out as many as I can. Feel free to contact me to connect about museum education, arts education, and professional development events and networking.
My additional hobbies/interests/activities include:
