Gonçalo Gaspar

0-5: Born in Lisbon in 1984.

6-15: Luxembourg. Lived 9 years there, went to the "European School of Luxemburg". What an experience. A school where Europe co-exist, learn and share their values on the same roof.

16-21: Lisbon. Lived there for 7 years, it was where the love for architecture started and where I went to university.

22-23: Milan. I did my Erasmus year on this city, what a year that was. This year was basically about two things: travelling and learning.

24-26: Ateliers Jean Nouvel. When I finished my architecture degree, I had to work. Not in Lisbon. Not in Milan. Paris. Language was the easy part, the rest... I call it a mixture of luck, opportunity and a bit of courage. I arrive in Paris with my portfolio and.. not much more. After a week, I had a job in a pritzker agency. Going to Paris was the best decision ever.

27: Pilot licence. I had this dream when I was young: fly. When I finally had the chance, I took it. After Paris I came back to Lisbon to take the pilot license. Great experience, great value.

28: work'in Marquês. I created this company from scratch on the heart of Lisbon. It started as a coworking space, and rapidly evolved to a mixture of office+coworking+workshop center.

My dream is to have another 28 years as exciting as the first 28.
