The smooth feeling of an eraser combined with the itch from uncut grass tickled my knees. What started out as a foreign feeling transitioned into comforting and safe. The ride was unlike anything I experienced. Swaying forward and backward as each sole was lifted and replaced onto the wet ground below, commanding the elephant forward, deep into the forrest was the most exhilarating hour of my life. Two summers ago, I traveled to Thailand and Laos to promote health care and participate in community service. Community service has always played an important role in my life and being able to combine it with my love for traveling was exceptional.

I am an incoming freshman from Austin, Texas. My desire to be independent and branch out of my comfort zone is what brought me to Athens, Georgia. My intended major is Health Promotions and Services in the College of Public Health. It is geared towards pre-nursing in worksites, communities, and rural areas. My reasoning for choosing this major was because I wanted to combine medicine with traveling.

In my free time, a majority of my time is spent listening to and searching music by upcoming or unknown artists. Living in the "Live Music Capitol of the World" for my whole life, I was exposed to talented and original music and it has impacted my life in both a positive and influential way. My two little twin sisters and I enjoy going wake boarding on the lake, attending concerts, or shopping down on South Congress or Guadalupe. To begin my first week of college, I just recently joined the Chi Omega sorority along with seventy other freshman girls. I look forward to the exciting four years that college and Athens, Georgia has to offer me.
