Ghassan Al-Sabbagh

Ghassan Al-Sabbagh, MD is an experienced and knowledgeable Gastroenterologist with his own private practice in North Carolina. Gastroenterology and Hepatology Consultants has four locations throughout the surrounding communities of Raleigh, North Carolina. The clinic provides a number of Gastrointestinal services including diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, esophageal dilation, paracentesis, esophageal motility study, post-bariatric surgery endoscopy, percutaneous liver biopsy, and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatogram (ERCP) among others.

Ghassan Al-Sabbagh received his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the Damascus University School of Medicine in Syria in 1983. To complete his medical education, Ghassan Al-Sabbagh, MD participated in a number of fellowships in the United States. His first fellowship was in Gastroenterology and Hepatology where he studied general gastroenterology and hepatology. He then went on to study endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatogram, with his final fellowship in Endoscopic ultrasound training.
