Gayan Hewage

Hi, I’m Gayan Hewage, based in Auckland, New Zealand.

I’m a technology and product professional with more than ten years of experience across software development, digital products, project delivery, business systems, and more recently, applied AI and automation.

What I’m particularly good at is sitting between business and technology.

I work with stakeholders to understand real business problems, translate them into practical technical solutions, and then work closely with engineering teams — or get hands-on myself — to bring those solutions to life.

Recently, I’ve been building AI agents, workflow automations, API integrations and digital products that connect existing business systems and reduce manual work.

My background also includes financial-services technology, Agile delivery and product management, and I’ve previously worked as a Scrum Master facilitating development teams.

I’m especially interested in opportunities across AI and automation, solutions consulting, technical product management, implementation and digital transformation.

For me, AI isn’t about using the latest technology just because it’s available. It’s about solving real business problems, improving processes and creating measurable value.

I’m currently exploring permanent opportunities in New Zealand where I can bring that combination of business thinking and technical capability.
