Roslyn S Manley

Atlanta, Georgia

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Roslyn Manley had spent her early years listening to fairytales and nursery rhymes her mother, the beautiful Verna Wright chose to read to her each night. As she grew into young adulthood, she vividly remembers her interests being in poetry interpretation. This is where her love for poetry was molded.

Roslyn studied Psychology. However, she could not escape the allure of poetry interpretation. She began by reading classical literature which included poetry that required interpretation. From classical literature to freelance writing, she got her first typewriter from her mother and began her journey of vivid poetry writing.

Roslyn decided to move to Atlanta, where she could study people, and listen to their stories. "I became a student of life", she recalls. Six years later, married a prominent Computer Engineer Johnie Manley and planted her roots in Rex, Georgia. They are the parents of 3 beautiful children, Chris (21), Maiya (15) & Mikaila (12).

Her first book, a collaboration with co-author, Derrick Williams, "Bonnie and Collide, Spirit & Flesh Combined," has had several private viewings and is most anticipated by all of their peers. The unique way they alternate their responses to each other according to topic is riveting.
