G.H. Swaleh

G.H. Swaleh is Director of the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Region for Hewlett-Packard's Global Procurement organization. He is responsible for the region’s multi-billion dollar spend which is managed through a procurement team located in 16 countries. His organization is responsible for developing, executing and deploying procurement strategies to enable sustainable growth and margin improvement for HP businesses across the APJ region.

G.H. began his career with Hewlett-Packard in 1996 and has held various procurement leadership roles. He is a member of the global procurement leadership team reporting directly to the worldwide vice president for HP’s global procurement (indirect and services procurement) organization. Prior to his current role as head of the APJ region, G.H. was the interim VP of Global Category and Supplier Development. In 2008, when HP announced the acquisition of EDS (the largest integration in HP history), G.H. was appointed to lead the technology category integration efforts on behalf of supply chain/procurement.

He has an extensive international background having led Procurement functions in the United States and Asia.

Prior to HP, G.H. spent 10 years with the Marriott Management Services Corporation.

G.H. holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics degree from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. He currently lives in Singapore with his family, after relocating from California in 2010.
