A New York-based engineer with decades of experience, Ghusalal Patel earned a BS in civil engineering from Gujarat University in India. In 1965, he completed his MS in civil engineering at the University of Missouri. Upon graduating, Ghusalal Patel gained certification as a professional engineer in New York and New Jersey and began working as a consultant for various engineering firms in the region.

Through nine years as an engineering consultant, Ghusalal Patel completed structural designs and analysis for concrete and steel elements of high-rise buildings, bridges, and chemical and petrochemical plants. In 1974, he moved into a leadership role, which he later supplemented with the completion of an MS in management from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.

As a project leader, Ghusalal Patel supervised engineers, designers, and draftsmen through the pre-construction process. During the construction phase of a project, he worked alongside contractors as well as the New York City Department of Buildings and the New York City Department of Transportation to secure crane permits. In addition to his engineering experience, he has an active interest in real estate.
