I believe everyone has a story to tell and I aim to hear them all. I like to tell my story through the medium of food. I believe food can bring people together and help us all learn something about ourselves, and others, in the process.

When I'm not in the kitchen I enjoy spending time with youth working as a non-traditional teacher. I grew up on a city with a bad reputation. But, I know there's a lot of good out there. I've found it in a support network of friends, teachers, and community mentors. This knowledge is what inspires me to do the work I do. It can be hard. However, it is also deeply rewarding. I learn something new all the time while working with young people. I hope the relationships I foster with them are mutually beneficial.
