Growing up, I identified myself as a “Third Cultured Kid”—a term widely used for children who were born into a certain nationality but grew up in a second and claim both cultures to be their own. This nomadic mix of American and Italian in which I grew up has created “The Third Culture,” which has shaped my Teaching Philosophy.
