Gianni Serazzi

Gianni Serazzi is a transatlantic healthcare investor whose career bridges medicine, finance, and innovation. Born in Padua in 1965, he grew up in a medically rooted family yet chose finance to support the healthcare sector. He earned a degree in economics from the University of Padua before completing an MBA at Wharton School, anchoring his professional life in the United States.

He began his career at Johnson & Johnson, rising to Director of Business Development for Europe within the Medical Devices division. In 1999, he joined OrbiMed Advisors in Boston, where he led early-stage MedTech and Biotech investments and contributed to the growth of multiple high-impact companies.

Since 2012, he has operated independently through Serazzi Health Ventures, managing a diverse investment portfolio and serving on strategic boards. He mentors founders at MIT, remains active in Italian-American business circles, and balances his professional life with opera, golf, and annual alpine hikes in the Dolomites.
