Born abroad and raised in the American South, the author received his Master’s degree from Boston University after studying abroad in Vienna and Jerusalem. His short stories have appeared in Zahir, Sixfold, and The Arkansas Literary Forum.
Gibson Monk is the pen name of Matthew Franks, whose scholarly work includes an article on National Socialism in the Harvard journal Cult/ure (vol. 8.1) and an essay on existentialism and video games in Past the Sky's Rim: The Elder Scrolls and Theology (now available).
