Elder Gideon Brown
Gideon is a husband, father,
pastor, teacher, and visionary. Gideon worked and studied at Charleston
Southern University to receive his B.A. in Biblical and Religious Studies. He
then moved to Columbia to attend Columbia International University where he met
his wife Hassana and received his Master's of Arts in Bible Exposition and an Master's of Divinity in Leadership, Evangelism and Discipleship. Gideon
worked as a successful realtor in the Columbia, South Carolina area with his
wife for five years. Before Gideon moved into a pastoral role in the church he
was licensed as a minister in 2010 by his home church that he grew up in, in
Lincolnville, South Carolina. He next then got ordained in the ministry by the
South Carolina Jurisdiction Church of God In Christ as an Elder of the Lord's
church in 2011. Gideon has completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education
at Palmetto Richland/Baptist Hospital in a one year residency where he sensed
God's call to the pastorate.
Gideon now works locally in
Orangeburg, South Carolina as a Hospice Chaplain and gives pastoral care to
four counties surrounding the city of Orangeburg, South Carolina. Gideon
considers himself to be a working pastor. Gideon is also a Chaplain/Officer in
the United States Army Reserves serving the sons and daughters of the U.S.
Military.
Gideon believes that his call is
simple and believes that his assignment is great. Gideon is the pastor of Glory Temple Church, in Orangeburg, South
Carolina. Gideon is called to be a pastor and his assignment is to develop
leaders (disciples) for the Kingdom of God and to plant churches to multiply
which is based upon the Great Commission.

Pentecostal Church with a cutting edge vision. Glory Temple Church is a church
that is a part of the C.O.G.I.C. (Church of God In Christ) fellowship and
denomination. We not only look for the glory of God to fill our temple but we
look and expect for the glory of God to fill the earth as we do our part in
ministry.
