Gideros Pizza

The name of Gideros Pizza comes from the ancient "Gideros Village" in the Cide district of Kastamonu province. It is said that after pirates and smugglers anchored their ships in this bay, they stayed in shelters in the mountains of the bay to hide and stay. These shelters still exist.

According to the famous geographer Strabon, the history of the settlement in Gideros Bay, discovered by the Amazons, can date back 3500 years. The village took its name from the Genoese. After the Genoese lived here, they used this bay as a shelter for ships during the Byzantine and Ottoman wars. It is still possible to see expenditures from past periods in Gideros Bay.
