(GIFDA) is a non-profit economic development engine that is organized for the purpose of financing, acquisition, construction, operation, management, and maintenance of heavy-infrastructure projects, that include (but are not limited to) high-speed rail systems for passenger and freight transportation, rail corridors and underground tunneling, shipping vessels, airport construction, highway systems, and other transportation services.
