Gift Samuel David
Microplastic Researcher and PhD Student in University of Manchester, United Kingdom
I am a President’s Doctoral Scholar in the Shiels Lab, where my research explores how micro- and nanoplastics, along with their ecocorona properties, affect freshwater fishes such as Cypriniformes and Gasterosteiformes.
My work focuses on the ecotoxicological risks, behavioural and physiological responses in these species, and the broader implications for food safety and security.
My academic background spans microplastic pollution, marine ecotoxicology, sustainable aquaculture, fish nutrition, and the monitoring of emerging environmental contaminants.
