I am Gift Eghosa Usi, a dedicated and detail-oriented graduate of Science Laboratory Technology (Microbiology option)from the University of Benin. My academic journey has been marked by excellence and resilience, culminating in my recognition as the, Best Candidate Nationwide in the 2024 Mandatory Professional Examination of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT)with an outstanding average score of 95.5%. This achievement not only reflects my discipline and strong work ethic but also my passion for laboratory science and innovation.
Over the years, I have developed hands-on experience through diverse roles. As an Industrial Trainee at Peebee Research Laboratory, I honed my analytical and problem-solving skills by collecting clinical samples, conducting laboratory tests, and ensuring accuracy in results. Similarly, my role as a Laboratory Assistant at Dominion Model Clinic allowed me to deepen my knowledge of microbiological techniques, maintain laboratory efficiency, and strengthen my capacity to work with precision in quality control processes. These experiences, coupled with my strong communication and leadership skills, have shaped me into a versatile professional capable of contributing to both scientific research and industry practice.
Beyond academics and work, I have a deep passion for volunteering and teamwork. In 2024, I volunteered atThe Big Game Conference, where I supported collaborative tasks that enhanced the overall success of the program. These opportunities have enabled me to appreciate the value of service, teamwork, and leadership in diverse environments.
Recognizing the intersection between science and technology, I am currently broadening my expertise in data analysis. I recently completed a training in Data Analysis with Power BI, organized by the Edo State Information Communication Technology Agency (EdoICTA) in collaboration with PIP Community. This has equipped me with foundational skills in using data-driven insights to improve processes, solve problems, and make impactful decisions. My decision to explore data analytics stems from my desire to leverage technology in advancing quality control, research, and development across industries.
I strongly believe in continuous learning, unlearning, and relearning as key drivers of growth. My vision is to merge my scientific background with technological tools to create innovative solutions that contribute meaningfully to the scientific community, the tech space, and the world at large.
