Leovegildo Delloro Basmayor, Jr. is the incumbent mayor of Minalabac, Camarines Sur. He has served as mayor for a total of 15 years, starting from his having been appointed as the town’s Officer-in-Charge after the 1986 EDSA Revolution.
Gil Basmayor started his career in public service as one of the most popular broadcasters in radio and television in the Bicol region for several decades. He worked at DZDR, DWNW, DWLV, and DZGE.
As a public servant, he is known for being an exponent of participatory projects, champion of maternal health, and a believer of alleviating poverty at the local level with the help of a complete database of all information relevant to the issue.
