Gili Getz

I was born in Israel to newly-arrived immigrants from Latvia, and served as a photo-journalist in the Israeli military

In 1997, when I arrived in the US, I received the Kirk Douglas scholarship towards my studies at the American Academy for Dramatic Arts in New York. I preformed in New York Los Angeles and Tennessee. For the past several years, I have been the director of The Forgotten Carols a play by Michael McClean.

I was the editor of the popular Israeli news site Ynet US, and participated in Obama's two presidential campaigns, Organizing for America and J Street.
