Gilles Goffard
Liege, Belgium
I am a 21 years old passionate about Entrepreneurship and Technology, I'm currently achieving studies in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering at the University of Liege (Belgium). During my studies I had the opportunity to be part of lots of exciting projects, such as Microsoft UCrew (student ambassador) and Sony Xperia ambassadors programme.
For 3 years, I worked as the head of the communication and public relations team of a Junior Enterprise (N-HiTec) in Liege. I acquired a lot of experience in Team Management, International Relations, Lobbying. A part of my job was to manage relations with some major global businesses and public sector organizations (European Commission, OECD, Walloon Region, ...). I also have a certification in Industrial Marketing from the EIIL. I had the occasion to attend many global conventions, conferences and workshops, such as the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Rio de Janeiro, the European Business Summit, the European Development Days gathering top-level managers policymakers and game-changers.
Now, I am part of the National Confederation of Junior Enterprises, JADE Belgium, where I'm in charge of Community Management, and Lobbying (as well as the Public Affairs for the Liege Area).
Even if I'm close to global businesses, it didn't make me loose the passion of creation, I'm currently adviser for the Mini-Companies programme of JA-YE Europe (within their belgian branch "Les Jeunes Entreprises ASBL"), in jury sessions of the Young Enterprises Project which aims to foster startup creation by student (based on the Business Model Canvas).
As a perpetual innovator, I have experience in sustainable change management. What I like most is defining a vision for a project, and lead it toward success, whatever it takes.
