Gillian Davis

I'm founder of Crescent & Main, a coaching and training company designed to help new managers get on the right track through tried and tested leadership frameworks. My dream is to create an online platform that makes it accesssable to all, so watch this space.

I was inspired to write "First Time Leader: Fundamental Tools for Inspiring and Enabling your Team" (Wiley 2014) after finding myself in a management role for the first time, within a small business with no training department to turn to. It helped me connect and develop my team, and allowed me to focus on what's important. I know teach leadership courses to start-up accelerators, and small businesses.

Throughout my career, I've worked as a recruiter, markerter and business development manager. I love them all equally as they allow me to do what I love, and that's to work with people. I love listening to people's needs, and figuring out a way to help them.

I love to challenge myself, and am constantly seeking personal growth and development. Whether it's from a book, a webinar, a mentor or coach, I love to make most of the resources I've been given.

Growing up in the entrepreneurial environment I can recognize and identify the challenges that come with starting a business. I love helping budding entrepreneurs take off the ground, and have mentored many new business owners to work through a strategy.

On my spare time, I enjoy following my passion in fitness, you'll find me in the gym pumping iron or sweating it out in a hot yoga class. If I'm not a the gym - I'm probably traveling, at a food market or window shopping.
