Raman Gill grew up in an artistic positive environment and developed passion for art as she grew. Though she has a doctrate degree, painting has always been close to her. Presently she resides in Calgary. She has taught graduates at the University level for 13 years and has numerous research papers in national and international journals and also book chapters to her credit.

She is multitalented and continues to teach as an educationist, along with creating art. Her work is a constant search of expressing herself and gets her inspiration from nature and beauty around her that gives peace, harmony and happiness. Her media is Oils and watercolours and loves to do florals, landscapes, abstracts, Bhuddha nad Ganesha. Her paintings are colourful and vibrant that suggest happiness and aggressiveness. She has show cased her work in solo and group exhibitions from time to time. Her passions also include photogrphy, gardening, travelling, hiking, writing poetry and quotes in three different languages- English, Punjabi and Hindi. She loves combining her quotes with her paintings.
