Gil Seton Jr. has served as manager at SP Investment Fund LLC since 2003. He supervises investments that SP Investment Fund LLC and its affiliates make in multi-family housing. Drawing on over a quarter of a century of experience in developing, managing and owning affordable housing, as well as his involvement in hundreds of investment transactions, he has helped SP Investment Fund LLC invest in thousands of units across the United States. Gil Seton Jr. also manages the rehabilitation and preservation of affordable housing projects for seniors and families using public and private financing. In addition to significantly upgrading the physical condition and longevity of the buildings, the preservation projects that SP Investment Fund LLC and its affiliates undertake also typically incorporate social and empowerment programs, such as social service coordinators, case workers, community rooms, computer centers, social literacy courses, free internet to all of the units, social activities, free flu shots, etc. On all of these preservation projects, SP and its affiliates have been partnering with Riverside Charitable Corporation, a not for profit charitable organization focused on affordable housing.
Prior to taking on a role at SP Investment Fund LLC, Gil Seton Jr. served as president of Showplace Development, Inc., a firm dedicated to developing and owning affordable housing in inner-city Los Angeles. He is also a former project manager at Calmark Development, which, at the time, was one of the largest developers of affordable housing in Southern California and the 13th largest multifamily building developer in the United States.
Aside from his professional life, Mr. Seton remains active in his community by donating to a number of charitable organizations. He is a longtime supporter of the UC San Francisco Women’s HIV Program, which fights HIV through both primary care and treatment of trauma. He also contributes to the Hearts With Hope Foundation, an organization that provides medical, dental, and humanitarian assistance to children with congenital heart defects in underserved communities across the world.
