Gina Parise
Teacher in Irvine, California
Hello! I am a graduate student at Chapman University, in the MA Special Education program, with plans to earn my degree this year. My Midwest roots are from Michigan where I earned a BA in film studies at U of M. I also have an early childhood background with two certificates in preschool teaching and administration from OCC. I am a fan of the Improv, live music concerts, in-theater movies, and also love walks on our beautiful beaches!
In Orange County, I have 15 years experience working with students from preschool to middle school, as a preschool teacher, instructional assistant, 1:1 aide, and nanny. I am currently working as a special needs IA in elementary school in the IUSD. Through my education and work with students, I have gained valuable insights into positive behavior supports, developmental curriculum approaches, and early interventions.
As a teacher, I believe in finding the path of good fit, so students can go forward with enthusiasm, appropriate instruction, and confidence to achieve their goals. It is my professional intent to provide essential individualized guidance and support to elementary school students for personal success.
As a family member of children with disabilities, and having recovered from my own, I understand the challenges and hardships for young learners on this journey, as well as the need for meaningful solutions, smiles, and good humor in our day.
Through high expectations in academics and character, relevant technological integrations, and collaborative communications, we can team assist student preparation for our 21st century global community. Thank you!
