Gina Sierra

I am a photographer based in Danbury, CT. I specialize in newborn portraiture, weddings and events. Photography means the world to me. One of my favorite things growing up was listening to my mom tell our family's stories, while we flipped through the "family heritage" photo album.​

I used to look at the wedding photos and baby photos of my ancestors, imagining what it would be like to know them at that time, with their whole future ahead of them. The significant moments they chose to preserve on film became the images that told the story of our family, and everything that led up to me, in this moment, today.

Every time I shoot, I consider the timeless, heirloom nature of photographs. These are the images that will be passed on to future generations someday... It's incredible to consider the beauty and magic in that. <3

I believe in connecting with my clients on a personal level. It's the biggest thing I consider when choosing a photographer to hire for my family/events, and I encourage everyone to do the same when they make their choice as well. So on a personal note, here are some random facts about me!

I can ride a unicycle. I'm addicted to bad movies, coming of age novels and Starbucks. The most important things in my life are my spirituality, my creative/artistic expression and my family & friends. I LOVE learning about astrophysics and quantum mechanics, even though I don't always *get* it... I find the theories completely fascinating.

I absolutely love kids, and dogs. They are so innocent and full of love- we can all learn from that. =) I meditate every day. I've tried to tie a cherry stem in a knot with my tounge dozens of times, but have not yet succeeded at doing anything but making stupid faces. I'm also learning to whistle... Actually, I'm making slow progress on that one, but it's progress nonetheless...
