Gina Stark

California

A native Californian and reformed workhorse, I sold my thriving retail business in 2006, and delved into life and the things I missed in my over-working mode. I played a bit of "catch-up" with my world travels - photographing and blogging extensively along the way - but this work is never done. ;)

More recently, I created and opened a new fashion boutique in downtown San Diego with my sister, and I'm loving it! This time around, I balance my retail endeavors with my new-found passions of hiking, dancing, freelance writing and snapshotography. I've always been a traveler, and thankfully, the world continues to open doors to new, amazing experiences for me. A one-time social media consultant and travel blogger, I now call myself a girl with a life, who happens to have a blog.

Other diversions I am most passionate about include hiking (did I mention that already?), yoga, cycling, horse-back riding, cars (I love the classics, OK and the fast ones!), skiing, photography, easy tech, peace-mongering, kayaking, word crafting, snow-shoeing, music, green-ing, food-ing/cooking, and general exploring and horizon-broadening. My aim is to remain open to those experiences I've not yet touched on. To this end, I created a forum for reader suggestions on the interactive travel section of my blog.

My philosophies and spiritual values are perpetually evolving and devolving. I always welcome respectful discussion.

A PR friendly freelance writer and social media cheerleader, you can find me co-hosting lively Twitter parties or traveling to almost anywhere to share real-time memorable moments. Oh, and sometimes you can actually find me working in my store. ;)
