Gina St. Aubin is the Publisher, Contributing Editor and Founder of Special Happens. As a former Victim’s Advocate, she now advocates for those with intellectual and physical challenges, and their families. Her eldest son, while he ultimately received a Left-Sided Hemispherectomy in June 2012, has been also been diagnosed with Intractable Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Developmental Delays, and more. Gina has contributed to a number of published books and online publications within the special needs community, writes for Denver Parent, previously served as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Sensory Processing Disorder Foundation, and was requested to (and completed) the inaugural year (2014) of the Children’s Hospital of Colorado Advocacy Boot Camp. Gina resides with her husband and three children in Colorado.
