Gina Vergel

Gina Vergel is a bilingual public relations professional and writer. She is the Assistant Director of Communications at Fordham University, where her main job is to get faculty experts in the news. She also works on independent publicity projects for musicians/artists: Making Movies, Los Rakas, Zuzuka Poderosa, DJ NEB, and Vicente Garcia. She was publicist for Outernational during their “Todos Somos Ilegales” tour. She is the New York & Colombia sub-editor for Sounds and Colours (UK) and a regular contributor to Dos Mundos Radio in Toronto and Vida Vibrante in New York. Background: multiple award-winning newspaper journalist, former local news radio anchor and advertising sales pro. She has a B.A. in English from William Paterson University and a M.S. in Education/Organizational Development from Fordham University. She is Colombian-American, born & raised in Paterson, N.J., and a current New York City resident.
