Mark Ginsberg

Mark Ginsberg works to advance green buildings and Eco-Cities as Principal of Ginsberg Green Strategies. He is a former Senior Executive with the US Department of Energy (DOE). He was recently given the honor to be appointed Senior Fellow of the US Green Building Council, serving as a senior advisor and ambassador. Mark is founder of Deserts Bloom LLC to advance Integrated Seawater Agriculture Systems. Ginsberg pioneered concepts of Zero Energy Buildings and Zero Energy Communities. At DOE, he oversaw a large portfolio of research, development and deployment in green buildings, advanced energy efficiency and renewable energy. He helped implement international agreements with governments in China, India and other countries. Ginsberg has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Alliance to Save Energy and a Distinguished Career Award from DOE Secretary Steven Chu.
