We bought our very old, but in good nick Victorian Terrace house a couple of years ago. Finally we're at the stage of starting to renovate - it's taken us forever to get to this point.

I've decided to do this blog for a number of reasons:

...to keep family and friends up to date on what's going on

...to keep family and friends from grinning and nodding with boredom when we prattle on about plans, tiles and lights

...to have a timeline of what's happened as it's taken a long time to get here...it's only just now become tangible...before this we only had oversized pieces of paper with drawings, a dwindling bank account (chewing our savings) and a huge dream!

Enjoy it people! We will for the most part, but the other bit will be spent wondering why we decided to live here while we live on a construction site!
