Gissel Gonzalez
Student, Writer, and Editor in Texas
Gissel is a senior at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and is graduating in December 2015 with a Bachelors of Arts in English-Creative Writing and her minor is in Journalism. She grew up in the Rio Grande Valley, and has enjoyed all of her time spent getting to know Central Texas better. She was an editorial intern for Latinitas and she was happy to get experience for what it is like to work with an editorial team. She aspires to be a novelist one day, as well as an editor for a publishing company; Gissel plans to write books for young adults. When she isn’t focusing on school, she spends her time relaxing while watching movies and knitting. Gissel considers herself to be a singer, she has always had a passion for it, though she has not tried pursuing a career in it. She loves most animals — her family at home has a Cocker Spaniel named Scamp and a turtle named Squirt.
Gissel plans on using her blog to discuss any popular topics she feels like sharing her opinions on, as well as to give advice to the general public when possible.
