My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in History and graduate studies in Library and Information Sciences, Sociology and Social Projects. As a librarian I work as a consultant of information projects, managing online information systems, projects of information and developing web content.
In the area of social projects, I have about ten years working within Non Profit and charitable organizations in planning and managing social projects for the development of people living in poverty, as well as people at risk in Latin America. My professional experience also includes management and volunteer recruitment, and fundraising activities. Furthermore, I am actively involved with volunteer and charity organizations during my free time.
I moved from History (Humanities) in to Library and Information Sciences in 1998 and then worked for the Compensation and Social Development Fund (in Lima, Peru) in the field of public information. In 2007 started to work on Practical Action (Regional Office from Latin America) developing online information projects and communication systems. Furthermore I have managed projects for the improvement of communication skills of poor people in Peru and Bolivia.
