I've spent the last 7 years doing this, learning more and applying better every day.

Outside of comms I've worked as a nutrition coach, soccer referee, supplement salesman, construction laborer, logistics specialist, and club promoter.

My eclectic history has taught me a lot about people. It's taught me about their dialects, behaviors, and beliefs.

I'm an only child from a small, close-knit family that hails from an old mill town in the hills of upstate New York. Both sets of great-grandparents immigrated there from Europe in the early 20th century.

My maternal grandfather started a construction company in this town after serving during WWII. It's called "Economy Paving," and is still family-owned and operated today.

Grandpa picked up golf at age 60 and retired to a blossoming club community in Florida with my Nana in the 1970s. My parents eventually moved from Arizona to the house next door.

They still live there today. Grandpa's moved on from this life, but Nana is 96.

I like to look back on my humble roots. I think the past teaches you how to move forward in the right direction and savor the journey.
