As a child I was told I was weird, ‘stupid’, ‘mental’; and a gifted writer, then a dunce who needed to go to special school. I was ignored and bullied and contented with a violent, neglectful and spiteful aspie female parent. I dropped out of high school at 15 years and became the youngest ever announcer on a capital city radio station. I have now worked in boardrooms, on major media campaigns and much more. I am very concerned about the unregulated cottage industry that has arisen in the autism community with many parents and adult people on the spectrum been sold snake oil solutions for 'symptoms' of a syndrome no one can identify and few understand. I am currently doing a research degree. I am keen to make contact with recognised researchers, organisations, and people on the spectrum who have a sincere interest in autism; and wish to make more information available to parents - particularly through partnerships with governments and corporations. I am also keen to speak on topic. I hold groups of 2-4 people for 2 1/2 to 3 hours coffee & chat about living with and parenting autism and Asperger's. See contact details.
