Gladhys Elliona (b. 1994) is an Indonesian interdisciplinary writer. Besides writing fiction, she translates literature, does research on performing arts, was a theater actress, and made short documentaries. She has published Tentang Desir (2019), Ada Alien di Luar Angkasa? (2021) with Kok Bisa; contributed in play anthology Protozoa dari Mulut Egri (2021) dan Hal-19: Hyperlink (2025), wrote an essay in The Equator: Travelogue. Brazil, Asia Tenggara, Oceania (2022), and autofiction novel Akar dan Ombak (2026).

As a literary translator, she is focusing on Brazilian Portuguese literature to Indonesian, among her translations are works of Clarice Lispector and Machado de Assis. She translated and published the stories by Cris Judar, Henrique Schneider, Clarice Lispector, and Lima Barreto. In 2025, she received the Support Program for the Translation and Publication of Brazilian Authors Abroad from Fundação Biblioteca Nacional for her upcoming translation of Posthumous Memoirs of Brás Cubas.

Her first short documentary, Mom Minding the Mosque (2024) was selected for several film festivals, one of them is Women in Film and Photography, Objectifs, Singapore 2025. She has been involved in many arts and culture programs in several arts centres like Komunitas Salihara, Indonesian Visual Arts Archive, Asana Bina Seni Biennale Jogja XVI; Asian Arts Media Roundtable 2021 at the Singapore International Festival of Arts; and Terap Festival as theatre researcher where she received research grant from Indonesian Performing Arts and Theatre Conference in 2024.

She is a member of Sekolah Pemikiran Perempuan 2025. She holds an MA from Performing Arts and Visual Arts Studies, Universitas Gadjah Mada. In 2024, she received a Non-Degree Cultural Scholarship from Dana Indonesiana for a three-month artistic and literary residency in São Sebastião, Brazil. Her writings had been translated into English, German, and Brazilian Portuguese.
