As I reflect on my beliefs regarding teaching and learning, I find that my mission as a teacher is complex and evolving, including the following aspects: to promote learning; to spark learner enthusiasm for learning; to provide a strong foundation for lifelong learning that is transformational in all aspects; to facilitate learning to be, rather than learning about; to enjoy what I do as a teacher; to be a socially responsible teacher who innovatively caters for the needs of the modern learner using the most appropriate technologies and tools. I maintain that the best teachers enjoy what they do! Moreover, I derive the greatest joy from seeing people learn.
