I am a journalist and copy editor with 34-plus years of experience and have been a journalism and communications instructor on the college level since 1996.
Before coming to the journalism school at the University of Kansas, I was a visiting news editor and assistant professor at the Missouri School of Journalism and a former @whignews editor.
I served on the Executive Committee of the American Copy Editors Society for 12 years and am a lifetime member.
