New Canadian, old South African. Roots are deep, but the branches of the tree reach skyward. Work is a calling not a paycheque - and the calling is changing, from a job to self employment, from working for clients to working for myself, and the writing and photography I love. Still happy to do an honest day's work for an honest day's pay, though!

Speaking of love, I love the Ram Dass quote that a friend uses for her email signature - 'We're all just walking each other home.' And on my walk home I embrace my wife, my children, my sons-in-law and my new daughter in law, and their children to come. I embrace the years that still lie ahead - the path that winds up into the mountains.
