Glenda Workman
I have 25 years experience teaching German-but that’s not all. I have taught a variety of courses over the years.
• : U.S. History, World History, AP World History, AP World History, Civics, Government, Geography, and AP Government and Politics, and English.
I started teaching in 1984, and was full-time in the regular classroom until 2007 when I joined the Office of Distance Education through the Arkansas School for Math, Science, and the Arts. This is my second year with Virtual Arkansas, so we’ll be learning a lot together.
I first became interested in the German language while attending college to get my Master’s Degree. I enjoyed it so much, I decided to take the classes to teach German to others. Learning a foreign language has prompted me to travel in Europe, especially in German-speaking countries. I have visited Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Leichtenstein, France, England, Scotland, the Netherlands, and Italy. I enjoy learning about and experiencing other cultures and learning about their history.
I live in Walnut Ridge and I am married.
I have a daughter and son-in-law who live in Searcy.
My hobbies are dancing, cooking, and reading.
