Glenn Brewer

Wellington, IL

As a child I grew up in a Navy family and moved around frequently. Moving from school to school was tough but helped form the person that I am today. Eventually my parents settled back in their hometown of Dallas City, Illinois where I attended my final years of school. I graduated high school at Dallas City Community High School (Which is now closed and attends Illini West High School in Carthage, IL) in 2000.

After graduating high school I attended community college through Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, IL but attended campus at Southeastern Community College in Burlington, IA. Graduating there in May 2002 with my Associates degree, I transferred to the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in an attempt to get my career started upon graduation. I graduated from the UIUC in December 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Psychology.

From there I took a small break from education and started working for Launch Pad in Rantoul, IL and helped maintain the before and after school program. Working with kids from 6 weeks old through 6th grade it was a continuous reminder of what I truly had a passion for and that was educating the leaders of the future. It was because of this that I finally enrolled in the University of Phoenix, Online to obtain my Master degree in Secondary Education with Certification program. I graduated with my MAED in April 2009.

My family:

Melisa Brewer - We met while I was attending the University of Illinois and have been married since February 2007.

Bryson Brewer - Born on February 13, 2006 he has been a son that every man dreams of and is wise well beyond his years. He enjoys playing every sport he can and getting to know all of my students throughout the years.

Khloe Brewer - Born on November 29, 2009 she has brought so much joy to our lives, as well as so many obsticles. Born with a rare congenital heart disease known as LTGA (CCTGA for her) we have been in and out of the hospital with her in order to get things taken care of. She is doing much better now that all the surgeries are done as of June 2012 and you would never know that anything was ever going on if you met her at the store.
